“Hey there everyone my name is Zinger and I’m a friendly, young male American Staffordshire Terrier mix. My coat looks black but it has beautiful sable undertones.
“I came in as a stray so the volunteers are just learning what a great dog I am. I love people and can be a bit too enthusiastic when I greet new people, and for this reason I would probably be better in a family without small children. When you come into my kennel I am working on not jumping on you and giving you teeth-kisses. The volunteers find that if you wait a minute before going in and ask me to settle down, it helps me be calmer.
“I appear to be dog-friendly but any introductions to other dogs would need to be done carefully. Once I am outside you can really see what a great dog I am. I am very attentive and responsive to you. I love treats and will SIT for you nicely and take them gently. So it should be easy to teach me other tricks.
“I would make a great walking and running partner. When I am walking, I look back at you because we are a team! With a little encouragement and practice, I walk at your pace and try not to pull.
“I seek love and attention and would make a great addition to an active family.”
