I went by the Wake County Animal Center this morning and took a few pics of some adorable pups looking for furever families to love them.
WCAC will be open both Saturday and Sunday from noon to 6:00 PM just like every other day of the week.
I also saw R filling syringes with rabies vaccines prepping for the Rabies & Microchip Clinic at the Wake County Northern Regional Center Saturday, October 11, 2014 from 9:00 AM until noon. Rabies vaccines are $5.00 and microchips are $10.00. Cash (no large bills) and checks only.
Additionally, WCAC is hosting an Adoption Event at Banfield Pet Hospital in the Stonebridge Village Shopping Center in Cary, NC from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. It’s a great opportunity to meet and learn more about some sweeties looking for their furever homes.
Teamworks Dog Training is hosting a Tunnelers Fun Run at their Youngsville location to benefit the National Canine Cancer Foundation. It is open to anyone and it’s just $5.00 a run. Come on out Saturday, October 11 or Sunday, October 12 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Second Chance Pet Adoptions is holding their Third Annual Furry 5K Saturday at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, NC. Touted as the original “race with the dogs” charity event in the Triangle, there are separate 5Ks for runners and runners with dogs. Check out their website for more about all the fun this Saturday, October 11, 2014.
And I’m gonna miss it all because I’ll be helping a friend at the German Shepherd Rescue & Adoptions 2014 Annual Reunion Picnic. I’ve never been, but I’m told it is a lot of fun with great food and cutie-patootie pups everywhere. See you at the Treiball Demo ring Saturday afternoon, October 11!
