“Dear Forever Family,
“I can NOT wait to meet YOU!!! After being at the shelter since April I finally got to go to a HOME with my foster family. I LOVE HOME. My foster mom says I was meant to have my very own because I am a special girl. I can’t wait to get one.

“Here at my foster home, I get to sleep in my own crate. My bed is so cushy I really like to be on it in my crate. I don’t cry or bark when I am in there, but I did chew on my bed just a little (I wanted to see what made it so cushy) so my foster mom wrapped a sheet around it and she lets me take keep a stuffed toy to chew on instead. I have a BONE too. And a basket full of toys. I like to take the toys out of the basket one at a time and put them in my crate.

“Every morning when my foster mom comes to get me she says “good morning Leia” and I smile so big my eyes look like they are closed. It makes her laugh. She says my face gets all wrinkled and I look like I have “billy bob teeth”. I don’t know what that means, but it makes her smile and rub me so it must be OK.
“She says I am a smart girl because I am already learning to sit when she asks me to, and because when she gives me treats I take them gently from her. She said I should tell you that I am sweet and affectionate and that I have been nice to every person I have met. I wag my tail like a helicopter when people talk to me. My foster family has 3 boys with lots of friends so I have gotten to meet lots of new people. It was the boys that decided to call me Leia after a PRINCESS in a movie…something about my ears looking like her hair.

“Sometimes when I get very excited I like to put my mouth on your arm or your hand (I don’t think I am supposed to do that because my foster mom squirted me with a water bottle when I did…I didn’t like that so I am trying to remember not to do that anymore). I have already figured out if I go to the door someone will let me out in the yard and since that is where I go potty I just go to the door if I want to potty. I also go to the door if I want to go out and play with my foster brother. I like to run and make him chase me… we wrestle and play tug of war and go for walks together. He can play pretty rough but I don’t mind.

“Before I came to my Foster home I had some other fur friends too, but I am pretty picky about my fur friends, I don’t like every one. So if you already have a dog we should probably meet before you decide if your home can be my home too. I don’t have any cats at my foster house so I am not sure how I feel about them. Maybe I will get a chance to meet one and you can ask my foster mom how I did.
“If you are looking for a happy, smart, pretty, perfect size princess movie star…then I am your girl. Please call or email my foster mom Michele at 919-414-8838 or iammom3b@gmail.com and she will tell you ALL about me.

“Love, Leia”
