afureverfamily has failed at fostering – i.e. Ruby is officially ours. So, while we won’t be posting about our fostering experiences for awhile, I thought we could highlight some of the other great dogs waiting to be adopted from the Wake County Animal Center.

Hi, I’m Forest. What’s wrong with me? Am I not cute enough? Does my tail not wag hard enough? At seven months old have I lost that sweet smelling puppy breath?

Really, I want to know ‘cause my foster brothers have found their furever homes but my foster momma says she hasn’t had one email asking for a meet and greet.

Don’t get me wrong, my life has definitely taken a turn for the better and life is grand with my foster family, but I’m looking for my very own furever family.

So, let me tell you all about myself – and I know you’ll feel the love and want to meet me.

I’m what you might call a big ol’ snuggle bunny! I’m extremely affectionate and like nothing better than to just hang out with my family. I can just see us snuggled up on the couch watching some great movies or trash TV.

I’m a real “people person” and do well with all age groups; in fact, on one walk I was surrounded by a herd of four toddlers giving me hugs. I was a perfect gentleman and just happy, happy, happy.

Speaking of walks, my foster momma and I have been working hard on my obedience skills. I walk so nicely on my lead that foster momma can’t wait to show you. I have also learned to heel and sit when dogs pass us on our walks.

I do live with other foster dogs right now, but it takes me a little while to warm up to other dogs – especially those “macho male” types.

My foster momma says that it’s my winning personality that makes me so charming, but on our walks we’re always being told how handsome I am. I guess what makes me so striking is my tall slender physique. But I don’t rely on my good looks alone, I am a big help around the house. I will make chores fun and you know things go faster when you’re having fun.
